Employee Spotlight- Cam

We’re excited to launch our new Employee Spotlight series!

Meet Cameron Davignon, Research Analyst at Monte Financial Group, who has been with us since 2022. This series gives us the chance to highlight our team and share a closer look at the people behind the roles, the stories that drive them, and the impact they make every day.

We’re grateful to have Cam on our team and value the energy, dedication, and thoughtful perspective he brings to both his work and our clients.

What is your role at Monte Financial Group, and what do you enjoy most about it?

As a Research Analyst, I support the active management of our proprietary investment strategies through equity research, fixed income research, and economic/market research projects, as well as consistent portfolio monitoring and trading. I love doing deep dives on companies, understanding the trends and innovations that are shaping the world, and tying it all together to help make investment decisions on behalf of our clients. 

What is a hobby or activity you’re passionate about outside of work? 

I enjoy golfing, running, and weightlifting. My favorite golf course in Connecticut is Lyman Orchards in Middlefield. I have run two half marathons and I plan to run at least one more in 2026. I’m also a volunteer tutor with New Haven Reads, where I help elementary school students to work on their literacy skills. 

Do you have a favorite travel destination or dream vacation spot? 

I proposed to my now wife Karenna on the island of Mykonos, which was part of an incredible trip to Greece. We would love to go back there someday or potentially see more of the Greek islands. 

What is your favorite quote or personal motto? 

Often attributed to Winston Churchill, “we make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.”
